We modernized four mission-critical federal applications by migrating them from legacy Oracle Forms to Oracle APEX. By eliminating outdated Java Applet dependencies and preserving core PL/SQL logic, we delivered a secure, high-performance architecture fully aligned with strict federal cybersecurity mandates.
A U.S. Federal Financial Solutions Provider, responsible for core systems supporting multiple government agencies, was severely constrained by its heavy dependency on legacy Oracle Forms. The rigid user interface was frustrating users and impacting productivity. Behind the scenes, the reliance on outdated browser requirements and vulnerable Java Applets created escalating maintenance costs. Most importantly, this fragile legacy architecture was struggling to keep pace with increasingly strict federal cybersecurity and compliance requirements.
Rebuilding massive federal systems from scratch is highly risky. To solve this safely, we executed a secure, logical migration. We strictly preserved their robust, tested PL/SQL business logic in the backend but completely replaced the presentation layer. By redesigning the user interface with the Oracle APEX Universal Theme, we eliminated all Java Applets and legacy browser dependencies. The new architecture was optimized from the ground up for federal cybersecurity compliance, and the deployment was executed as a seamless transition without disrupting ongoing financial operations.
